Dr. Radoslaw Piesiewicz is currently Director of R&D: ICT Development at Wroclaw Research Center EIT+ in Wroclaw, Poland. He is responsible for the development of the vision and strategy for the ICT Research Institute. He manages the overall development activities in the field of ICT R&D. He participates in the coordination of the overall research activities in ICT R&D. He is also co-responsible for projects acquisition activities in EU FP7, POIG, industrial and from other funding sources. He maintains contacts with industry officials, public authorities and with the EU Commission.
Prior to joining Wroclaw Research Center EIT+, he was Head of Broadband & Wireless Area at Create-Net in Trento, Italy. Before, he was with the Institute for Communications Technology at the Technical University of Braunschweig in Germany, with Fraunhofer Institute IZM in Paderborn, Germany, and with Axis in Gdansk, Poland.
Radoslaw Piesiewicz is an active independent expert evaluator for the European Commission FP6-IST / FP7-ICT Program and for the NCBiR, National Center for Research and Development in Poland.
Radoslaw Piesiewicz is a member of the ETSI TC Reconfigurable Radio Systems (RRS), of the Wireless World Research Forum (WWRF), of the Radio Access Spectrum Cluster of FP7 Projects (FP7 RAS), of the Terahertz Communications Lab (TCL) and of the COST 2100 Action - Pervasive Mobile & Ambient Wireless Communications
